3/21/25 - Laurel Glen Winemaker Dinner with Bettina Sichel

March 21, 2025 06:30 PM until March 21, 2025 10:00 PM

Wine Dinner with Bettina Sichel

of Laurel Glen Vineyard

Friday, March 21 at 6:30 PM

Laurel Glen sits a thousand feet up the Sonoma Mountain, which places it above the fog that characterizes most of Sonoma. The vineyard was originally planted to mixed red varietals by German immigrants at the end of the 19th century. It was replanted to Cabernet Sauvignon in 1968. Today, it is farmed organically and planted entirely to one clone of Cabernet Sauvignon on 48 year old vines! Cool climate, mountain fruit, significant wind and old vines are a pretty potent combination.

Owner/winemaker Bettina Sichel brings all these things together to make some pretty freaking amazing Cabernet Sauvignon that is unlike any other California Cabernet. We’re huge fans!

Bettina will be here on March 21, and will be bringing an older vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon direct from the winery. We’ve put together a fantastic dinner to showcase the wines. It’s going to be a ton of fun. Please join us!

Old folks among us may recognize the name Sichel, as Peter Sichel, Bettina’s father, founded Blue Nun, once the single most popular wine brand in the world. Click here for a little Blue Nun blast from the past with Nancy, Marie, and Monique!
