In July 1824, the French Marquis de Lafayette, the last surviving major general of the American Revolutionary War, made a tour of the 24 states in the United States. In the Fall he arrived in New Brunswick to a hero's welcome. In our fair city, he addressed the citizenry and was afterwards feted at a grand Banquet and ball at Follett’s Old Bell Hotel on Albany Street. $59.95 includes Passsed Hors d’Oeuvres 2 cocktails |
